It is now the time for change.
Here is the place where the silent majority, whether in business, politics, social issues, can and should, stand up and be counted.
This site will be dedicated to the normalisation of life in connection with business attitudes and trends, political viewpoints, general social issues such as health and safety and political correctness, for example.
There will not necessarily be solutions to the issues raised, however the discussions will hopefully encourage those who do not normally speak out to think of the possible ways in which the majority off us can influence our lives which at the moment are being controlled by the MINORITY, whether that be in business, politics, or everyday lifestyles.
Yesterday on Twitter I was dismayed about the attitudes of some people who appear to be resigned to the fact that the general public have no power to change anything.
We have immense power, probably more than any group of people. The biggest problem is that it is difficult to harness this power.
The only realistic way to attempt this in my opinionn is encourage discussion and suggestion in a totally pragmatic way. That means no politics, no dogma, no rhetoric, no deep seated prejudices but only open and sensible discourse.
Power can be harnessed easily and not necessarily using any direct actions. For example, if the public wanted supermarkets to step in line regarding fair deals for farmers, not setting up in direct competition with small local retailers in villages or sourcing goods from abroad when UK goods are suitable, power could be achieved by a simple short term boycott.
This would only need to be for a week against one particular chain of supermarkets. The others would very soon take notice and be more careful how they treat us.
I have tried to give an example of the use of power witjhout direct action or confrontation for the good of the public as a whole.
I hope some of you will consider these ideas and stop letting others control our lives.
